“ I don't even know where to begin, but I'll try. My college roommates and I began a tradition of meeting several years in a row for an annual reunion; however time got away from us and it would be a decade. We decided SF was the spot to reunite. They pick the place and then let me coordinate. Due to COVD, I presented to them that I felt it would be safer to do private tours to limit our exposure. That proved to be the best decision we could ever have made because it led to me reaching out to Eric. From the beginning he was so laid-back and accommodating in our goal. Since SF was on one of my roommates' bucket list, we wanted to pack as much in as possible. We booked him for two days--One that combined SF, Muir Woods and Sausalito and the second day along the coast that included the scenic 17 mile drive with an emphasis on Big Sur. Because it wasn't a standard tour bus, we were able to experience adventures such as actually DRIVING Lombard Street, one of the crookedest streets in the world. Eric explained it is not the crookedest street and named another that is more curvy. It's those kind of knowledgeable nuggets that you get from him. ”

“ My daughter and I had just one day to explore Yosemite while we were in the San Francisco area .  Our full day with Eric was our favorite day that we had on our much anticipated and covid rescheduled trip to Northern California. .  Eric picked us up when it was still dark and our adventure started with some local info on the city of San Francisco as we made our trip toward the Park.  He pointed out the local agriculture and other highlights of the area, the culture, the different terrain and even the weather patterns as we made our way inland.  Eric is so easy going, friendly, knowledgable and interesting and the 3 1/2  hour trip was not only really comfortable but very enjoyable.  We had great conversations, some laughs and enjoyed chatting about our mutual taste in music.  Once in Yosemite, He planned a perfect day for us.  He was able to gauge our ability and selected two hikes for us.We started with about an hour hike to the Tuolumne Grove of Giant Sequoias and then continued the drive around the park to stop at some beautiful viewing spots, making sure we saw all the famous rock formations.   He selected a lovely spot for a picnic lunch and then on to a more moderate but really fun hike to Columbia Rock, which we both loved.  The hike brought us to yet another spectacular vista.    After that, he drove us to a location where we could actually spot some climbers on el Capitan!     On our way home, we talked about other things we could do in the area and he actually made us a google map with the 9 stops he recommended, which started in San Francisco and ended in Bodega Bay. I wish we had a 2nd day in Yosemite but I will hopefully return to explore more of Northern California someday soon and will absolutely reach out to Eric again, Highly recommend! ”

“ Family traveled to California for our son’s wedding. We booked a one day tour of San Francisco with Eric. We had 6 people in our group ranging from ages 27 to 85. Eric did an awesome job to engage conversation and information to include everyone’s interests. He works with you on pick up location and final drop off points. He was very thoughtful with my 85 year old father, for example driving him to the bottom of the hill while the rest of us walked, dropping us off at the closest points with less walking, etc. We had never been to San Francisco and he showed us all the highlights, including Muir Woods. Our tour was 5-6 hours. My father is still talking about his tour of the city with Eric. We would definitely use Eric again. ”

“ While visiting San Francisco - we booked Eric for a tour of Yosemite ... he had great communication with my wife prior to the trip, gave us all the info we needed and was early to pick up. All amazing qualities! Eric had a super nice big vehicle with plenty of space- we met and left right on time and along the way (it was a long drive) Eric gave amazing info and trivia... honestly we bonded pretty quick over some odd movie quotes but his knowledge of the area is top notch. We got to Yosemite and made all the stops we wanted - but truthfully, the highlight of the day was his "secret spot" by the river where we had a picnic and just relaxed under a water fall ( truthfully the water fall was like miles away but it was still visible and still super cool ) Overall - Eric was 10/10 tour guide. I have been on 10-15 tours around the US with different guides and if Eric was available - I'd request him first every time. PS I have to say- I forgot not one but 2 things in his car and he brought them both to me.... that was huge and he was cool both times. Prob don't try to leave stuff in there but just know... he was super awesome about getting my glasses back to me. ”

“ This is a great tour that shouldn't be missed should you be in the San Fran area. My wife and i flew into San Fran from NYC on the Friday night of Columbus Day. Not really in the mood to drive ourselves the next morning to Pebble Beach, we decided to have Eric drive us as part of his Big Sur tour. Best decision we could have made. Eric (great dude) picked us up promptly at 7:30am Saturday morning and, after a brief and relaxing drive around San Fran (Lombard St, etc.) we started our drive to Pebble Beach. Eric is extremely knowledgable about the surrounding area and was an absolute pleasure to talk to during the ride. We stopped at various points along the coast, stopping for pictures until we finally made it down to Big Sur. After a brief tour around that area, we stopped in for a relaxing lunch before continuing on to Carmel By The Sea and 17 Mile Drive on our way to Pebble Beach. By the time we were dropped at Pebble we felt as if we had known Eric for years. The day's conversation was that enjoyable. Unforgettable day in a spotless SUV with an awesome guide. We highly recommend taking this tour and are sure to call Eric again for a different tour should we find ourselves in the San Fran area again. Do NOT miss out on booking Eric for a tour. ”

He took me to all "must go" spots, in his super slick suburban, but also showed me around to some of the local/ off the radar sights-which included a killer noodle shop on Haight St for lunch. “ Not only is Eric very knowledgeable of the area and the local wineries, but very patient and friendly. . Our tour started visiting the Weir Woods, then on to tour 3 local wineries in Sonoma (Robledo by far the BEST), shopping at a local grocery store (best food ever!) and a picnic at the Beringer site (awesome!), he finished the tour by taking us to Hawk Hill showing us a complete different view of the Golden Gate Bridge and the City. There was seven of us in the group and he managed to provide ALL of us a great time. None of us wanted the tour to end. “ I went into this not knowing what to expect, I came out with the best experiences that I have ever encountered. Eric is extremely knowledgeable about all aspects of the tour, adding his own unique insight which makes it, that bit more special. “ A common dilemma in San Francisco is whether to rent a car. Well, that's the boat we were in. You can make-do on the muni buses/streetcar for a few days but is difficult to navigate to all the areas, specially when time is tight (lost a day with the storm and no power). Eric's VIP Tours was the perfect solution! We were so glad we booked a day with him. We would have missed so many great sights. Places that even a seasoned planner/researcher, like myself, would not have known about. Eric understood our issue with needing to checkout by noon and getting to the airport for a red-eye that evening. Our main objective was to get to Muir Woods but we got so much more. Highlights of our city tour (before Muir Woods) included the highest peak in SFO, a variety of neighborhoods/historical buildings and Golden Gate Park. We were able to leave our bags in the vehicle, without lugging them through the forest. What a relief! Eric had it planned to the minute, even catching the sunset at the Marin Headlands. It was amazing! The Golden Gate Bridge lit up like it was glowing. We were then dropped off for dinner in a trendy little part of town and Eric picked us up when we were ready to head to the airport. We could not have asked for better! We are grateful to Eric for his professionalism and making our trip so memorable! ”
